Q: When did you first join R4R and how did you learn about us?
A: A coworker recommended R4R to me in 2015 when I wanted to train for a Disney race.
Q: What have you enjoyed most about being a part of the R4R family?
A: The welcoming people. You are never alone, no matter your ability.
Q: What’s your very favorite “Movin’ into Life” activity?
A: I love the Zumba classes! We really sparkle in that room.
Q: What has been your most unusual or interesting job?
A: I was a dancing glass of milk at the California State Fair in 1985.
Q: How do you like to spend your free time?
A: I enjoy doing creative things like watercolor painting, rock painting, tap dancing, and spending time with my Australian Shepherd dog, Shanny.
Q: What’s a skill or talent that you possess that many people may not know about?
A: I can make music with my feet (tap dancing).
Q: If you were a vegetable, what would you be and why?
A: I’d probably want to be Spinach because it lives above ground and it makes people strong.
Q: How would you describe your Runnin’ for Rhett experience to a child?
A: R4R is a fantastic group of adults who root for each other and celebrate life and what we each can do. We get to wear cool baby blue shirts and get together to exercise our bodies, volunteer our time to help others, and raise money for kids to get to participate in running events that they maybe would not have gotten to do otherwise.
