Philip Einsel – November 2025

Q: When did you first join R4R, and how did you learn about us?

A: My wife and I joined during your New Member Kick Off at McKinley Park in July, I believe. We had heard about the event at a table inside REI during its opening-day festivities. We met Michele, who told us about the event at McKinley Park. We also knew of R4R from when our kids were in elementary school here in Elk Grove. It has just been a very long time since they were that young.

Q: What have you enjoyed most about being a part of Runnin’ for Rhett?.

A: I really enjoy meeting new people. We were looking for a group that had like-minded individuals with whom we could get together and become more active. We are not runners, per se, but we very much enjoy being active and social. We also love playing pickleball!!!

Q: What was your favorite subject in school?

A: U.S. History, American History

Q: What has been your most unusual or interesting job?

A: Most interesting job would probably have to be my current job, Pest Control Technician with Clark Pest Control. The stuff I see each day!! Whew!! I have never really had an unusual job.

Q: How do you like to spend your free time? Any hobbies of note?

A: Free time right now is being filled with pickleball, traveling, and watching sports on TV. New hobby is definitely pickleball.

Q: What’s something most people don’t know about you?

A: How much of a Disney nerd I am.

Q: If you were a vegetable, what would you be and why?

A: Corn. Because I can be sweet. I can be salty. I can be both.

Q: How would you describe your Runnin’ for Rhett experience to a child?

A: It’s a chance to be as active as you want, without judgment, amongst like-minded people who want nothing more than to see you succeed at whatever you want.
